Supporting Our Own

When Ed, our first trainee from back in 2007, approached us to provide sponsorship for his Land’s End to John O’Groats challenge, we could hardly refuse.

He has set off from Land’s End and will pedal 100 miles a day over 9 days to make it to John O’Groats. We are helping by providing the support to help Ed on his challenge.

Donations and sponsorship for the trip will be in aid of the Bone Cancer Trust. You can donate here:

ISO9001

Congratulations to Sarah Davis and the team for coming through the ISO9001 assessment process with flying colours again – a clean bill of health with no actions to improve the way we operate.

Thanks to all our customers too, for their input and feedback as part of our continual improvement processes.

MSP course refresh

We have been using the lockdown to make sure we have the best e-learning courses in the world – and as we are the lead authors of MSP our course should be a cut above the rest.

Not only will you find lots more interactivity in the material, we have put a lot of thought into how we can help you become really effective in the programme environment.

Apart from helping you prepare for the examinations, we want to help you prepare for life in programme management world, so there are thought provoking exercises where you examine your own strengths and weaknesses, consider some of the complex issues in the major programmes in the world at the moment and how you might be able to improve your own programme.

We have are also building an extensive case study where you can play different roles within a programme and see how you get on, that will be released at the end of June.

In the meantime, here is one of videos outlining the 7 Deadly Sins of programme management

Our results speak for themselves . . .

Our eLearning gives you the results you are looking for. Over the last six months our success rate across all our Foundation courses (both eLearning and Face-to-Face) is 98.5%, with 100% success in both the APMG and APM products.  For our eLearning we have 100% pass rates in our MSP®, M_o_R®, P3O® and Change ManagementTM Foundation qualifications

It’s unprecedented times but who says that should stop you nurturing yourself.  Self-development didn’t need to stop when you closed that office door for the last time on your way to ‘lockdown’.  With many homes now becoming makeshift offices what’s to say you can’t develop your Project Management skills on the kitchen table, enhance your Programme Management on the sofa, or hone in on those Planning skills in the garden ready for that big ‘coming out’ event when we all get released.

Aspire Europe eLearning can get you through this and out the other side with some practical knowledge and a qualification to go with it.  If you’re interested in becoming one of our successful statistics then browse our online shop or contact us at contactme@aspireeurope.com

More new stuff

We are now releasing a new series of videos to our Youtube channel.

We are calling them the “Drop Ins” and the idea is that we give you an informal and quick heads up on a subject.

These videos are part of our new suite of Fundamentals courses that we are releasing to our customers at that moment.

Why not join us on our Youtube channel and get updated as we release them, you will also find all our MSP® related video which have been around for a year or two.

More videos to come as we revamp all of our materials

UK Testing programme roll out

The amazing achievement of creating the capability to undertake 100,000 test per day throws a light on a classic project v programme thinking issue and the challenges of transition

It is a great example of thinking about building the outputs and capabilities (100,000 test capacity) with the focus moving to outcomes (100,000 tested) and the benefits of opening the economy.

A massive effort has gone into creating testing capacity and mass testing centres where the tests could be undertaken but it has only been in the last 7 days (5 or 6 weeks after the work started) when the attention seems to have been given to where the volume of tests to use this capacity has come from.

As a comparison, it is similar to the Network Rail programmes such as Thameslink, where fantastic achievements in terms of engineering outputs and the throughput capabilities – yet there was clearly insufficient focus on outcomes and benefits, as we all saw with the timetable issues.
